Dry sherry meets luscious sweet vermouth in this simple classic cocktail recipe. The Adonis cocktail is stirred until chilled and served up in a stemmed glass, sometimes garnished with a lemon twist or orange twist.

2 oz. dry sherry (fino or Manzanilla preferred)
1 oz. sweet vermouth
1 dash orange bitters

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, fill with ice, and stir until well chilled. Strain into a stemmed cocktail glass.
