Sautéed Bell Peppers

Ingredients

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
5 to 6 medium to large green, red, or yellow bell peppers or a combination, cut into long strips
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, optional
Pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oil in a wide skillet. Add the peppers, cover, and cook over low heat, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Step 2

    Uncover and sauté, stirring frequently, until the peppers are tender and lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in the optional vinegar, season with salt, and serve.
