Southern Spice Rub

Recipe information

  • Yield

    2/3 cup

Ingredients

2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Preparation

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle and rub the mixture on both sides of steaks just before grilling. Watch the meat while grilling: The spice rub should darken, but you don’t want it to burn.
