1 cup lima beans (fresh, frozen, or canned)
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

    Combine the ingredients in a large, heavy pot. Simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes over low heat.

    Step 2

    Increase the heat and cook for 30 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
