Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Stuck to pan

If the cake has cooled, heat it in the oven and it should flop out onto your waiting plate. If it’s hopelessly stuck, it will make a wonderful base for a dessert. Spoon the cake into stemmed glasses or into bowls. Sprinkle it with dessert wine (if you wish) and cover the untidy cake piles with warm pudding of your choice (butterscotch or vanilla work well here) and a dollop of whipped cream. You may never flip an upside-down cake right-side up again.
